H4 - portfolio
This page presents my final graphic design portfolio, also known as the Svendeprøven, or final exam project. A chance to bring together everything I’ve learned over the course of my education and create two fully realized products. One for print and one for digital.
The focus throughout the project was on clarity, consistency, and communication. My goal was to deliver a complete design experience that felt cohesive, on-brand, and meaningful for the target audience. Every decision, from layout structure to visual tone, was made with purpose and care.

Printed product
Project: Daells DNA – a magazin about Daells Bolighus’ history
Core competencies used: Graphic Design, Typography
Programs used: InDesign
For the print component, I designed a magazine that tells the story of Daells Bolighus’ identity, values, and more than 100 years of history. The concept was to create something that felt warm, familiar, and trustworthy, while still feeling modern and visually engaging.
The magazine blends classical layout principles with contemporary design choices. I used the company’s brand colors, textured backgrounds, and clean, readable typography to connect with the target audience: Danish families aged 35–65 who appreciate tradition, clarity, and value-driven design.
Throughout the layout, I applied design principles like Gestalt, the AIDA model, and careful typographic hierarchy. Each spread was crafted to maintain rhythm and flow, balancing visuals and text to guide the reader naturally from section to section. Attention to contrast, whitespace, and visual pacing helped create a reading experience that’s calm, accessible, and brand-consistent.

Digital product
Project: Timeline video about Daells Bolighus history
Core competencies used: Graphic Production Understanding, Image Editing & illutrations
Programs used: After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator
The digital part of the project is a timeline video that visualizes Daells Bolighus’ evolution as a company, from its early beginnings to where it stands today. The goal was to turn historical content into something dynamic and engaging, while maintaining a professional tone that felt aligned with the brand.
The animation was built entirely in After Effects, using layered compositions and soft transitions to maintain a gentle flow. The design structure followed a clean, chronological layout, allowing viewers to absorb the content without distraction.
I used Photoshop and Illustrator to prepare and retouch images, apply color grading, and build illustrated assets that added depth and warmth. Techniques like frequency separation, lighting effects, and realistic reflections helped enhance archival visuals without losing their authenticity.
The final video was edited in Premiere Pro, where I worked on sound design, voiceover adjustments, and pacing. I exported two versions: a high-quality file for YouTube and a web-optimized version.
