H3 - portfolio
This page showcases the third chapter in my graphic design student portfolio, developed during Hovedforløb 3. At this stage in my education, I was ready to take on more advanced layout systems, refined image editing techniques, and polished motion design.
The goal was to create work that felt not just creative, but also clear, structured, and highly usable in a real-world context. In this graphic design student portfolio, you’ll find a printed sofa bed catalogue and a digital promotional video—both designed with attention to brand consistency, communication, and user experience.

Printed product
Project: Sofa bed catalogue for Daells Bolighus
Core competencies used: Graphic Design, Typography
Programs used: InDesign
The print assignment focused on creating a complete product catalogue for sofa beds (sovesofaer) at Daells Bolighus. This catalogue was designed to present the range in a visually appealing, clear, and brand-consistent way—while also guiding readers toward the right purchase.
I built the layout using a modular grid and worked extensively with paragraph styles and typographic hierarchy to keep the structure clean and easy to navigate. I also applied Gestalt principles to reinforce visual connections and lead the eye naturally through each spread.
To set the tone, I introduced a soft beige color palette—an intentional shift from the previous pink-toned materials. This choice helped refresh the look while keeping the catalogue aligned with the brand’s aesthetic.
I also integrated marketing principles like AIDA (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) to create a clear reader flow from headline to product detail. SEO insights were considered when highlighting product features, making the content relevant for both print and online use.
Digital product
Project: Promotional video for the Seaford collection
Core competencies used: Graphic Production Understanding, Image Editing
Programs used: After Effects, Premiere Pro, Media Encoder
For the digital assignment, I created a promotional video showcasing the Seaford shelving collection—a line of furniture known for its clean lines and versatility. The challenge was to bring out the character of the collection while showing off the different sizes and variations in a way that felt cohesive and modern.
The full animation was produced in After Effects, where I focused on timing, smooth transitions, and dynamic pacing. I wanted the video to feel clean and professional but still engaging enough to stop someone mid-scroll.
Sound design and final edits were added in Premiere Pro, and the video was exported via Media Encoder to meet platform-specific requirements—ensuring it was optimized for both desktop and mobile viewing.
The result is a video that highlights the Seaford collection with movement, clarity, and purpose.
